We're working on a list of tips and tricks for anyone using AcidPro software. Why, because we like AcidPro. These should be online before the end of August 09.

Meanwhile, if you have any of your own tips that you'd like to share - for any kind of music software - drop us an email or fill in the form below and we'll put them on the page.

QUICKTIP #1 - Create a Folder for your song. It's the place to keep all relevant WAV.files & samples.

QUICKTIP #2 - Make the SAMPLE your own. Try this with any of the tracks from your song. SOLO the track and RENDER it (File/Render As - give it a name and save it to your Song Folder).
Open the file in SOUNDFORGE and try various EFFECTS and PROCESSES. IZOTOPE or SOUND FORGE WAVE HAMMER work well as COMPRESSION tools or you could try adding DELAY or REVERB. Whatever sounds best to you.
Save the file, open ACID and REFRESH your SAMPLE POOL. Select the file and draw it into your song on a new track. Mute the original and PLAYBACK. If you're happy with it, delete the original or keep it muted.

QUICKTIP #3 - I use AcidPro 6. I record my hardwear synths live into AcidPro 6 while using loops as well. I do a combo of both loops and live synths. I use a mix of Old school and New gear. 1 example : Mixing a Waldorf Blofeld with an Ensoniq ESQm. Nice results.
